My wife went missing within the last 3 hours. We had not had a fight of any kind. We are not perfect; nobody is. However, we had actually discussed earlier how we stick together no matter what, and have since 1984. Her van left w/o her having said a word to me, then came back about 20-40 minutes later. She never came in the house, and is not in the van. All our vehicles are here, but she is not. Cops have been told. There was a car three doors down running with a door open but cops said they had no jurisdiction to search it. Daughter just saw a lone guy in shorts walking nearby. I am freaking the Hell out.
Exhausted but relieved. Wife was with a neighbor who is moving out soon, is home safe. I'm too relieved (and tired) to even be pissed!!!

I asked one of the cops what he would think if HIS wife was missing and there was a car 4 homes down, rented by a bunch of foreign students, engine running and door open. The other had said she wasn't in there, because he could see it was a guy in it. I asked, "What if she was on the back seat, or in the trunk?" Stupid fucking kid cops!!! I've been a cop, and I'd rather apologize than miss something!!! Gah!!!
@lonleywanderer2 It is most unsettling to be in the fog of ambiguity yet sensing something is wrong but unable to do much about it.
My wife used to work the grave yard shift at the hospital and told me that she would be coming home a bit late because she was giving a sketchy co-worker a ride home. I started to get concerned when she was over an hour late and unreachable by phone.
DC police were quick to respond to my missing person info, as you have 48 hours that a lead was fresh. Just as I was handing them a photo for reference, she came thru the back door. The police demanded that I present her to them before they left.
Hope that it clarifies soon.
Yikes. What time is it where you are?
I'm shocked they wouldn't check that car. I'm so sorry to hear this and hope you get good news soon.
They could have at least gone over and ASKED them if they could look in the car. If the people said no, they'd probably have to respect that without a search warrant... but they should have at least ASKED for peace of mind if nothing else. Please keep us updated! I so hope everything is ok!
Uh oh. Keeping her in my thoughts and prayers. Hopefully nothing bad has happened!
Im sorry to hear! But I agree with the first comment. i know its hard, but you only make it worse if you begin to think a lot of things, if you know what I mean. Im sure she is okay, and will come home soon. Sending my prayers. Much love<3

I really hope that there is another explanation and that she comes home soon.
I'm so glad that she was just helping someone out!
@Babii_Dragon - @Shining_Garnet - @firetyger - Actually, she basically got them beer and they played "Name that tune" at his place, but it's cool. She's safe, and home.

Don't draw negative conclusions just yet. There may be a simple explanation.

I hope nothing has happened.
Praying for her now!!
Has she ever done something like this before?
That's ridiculous that they wouldn't check the other car. I hope every thing is ok.
