You May See Only Darkness, But That Doesn't Mean It's Over
What do Love and Marriage, and Life for that matter, have in common with a movie? Let me explain it.
My wife and I went to see "The Amazing Spiderman" at the theater. I laughed, I cried, I laughed some more. There was adventure, terror, horror, romance, comedy, suspense and tragedy. Good and evil.
It was excellent, but the point of my post is this: At the "end" the screen went dark. Almost everybody left, but I never leave until the screen goes to white. I told my wife, it's just like our relationship. If you leave when you see only darkness and think that it's over, you might miss something great that is yet to come. Sure enough, there was more. Most people only think they know how that movie ended, and have no idea of the events yet to come.
So never give up. There will be bad times, but there will be many good times also. It's a wild adventure, this life we live.

haven't seen the movie, but I may. Not giving up is one of the keys to living and being happy =)
@catstemplar2 - Thankee!!! The other day, I had to let a guy who used and mind-fucked someone close to me know I would kick his ass if he ever talked to her or came near her again. Thankfully, she got off fairly cheaply. Hopefully she learned a lesson from it. Post soon to come.
This is special. Your wife is lucky to have you.
@I8it - @Randy7777 - @lucylwrites - @electrons_in_hatius_2009 - Thanks to you allfor reading and commenting!!!
@my0615 - Aww, thanks. I'm lucky to have her, too!!!
God bless both of you.
Very well said :)
Simple truth, my dear. Simple, beautiful truth. Relationships get stronger as you push through more things. I spent most of my life trading in what I thought was broken, instead of working through it. Now, in my current relationship, we tackle shit head on. Ive never been happier and never felt stronger standing next to someone.
Thank you for the reminder of why I do that.
@HemptressDecember - Glad you enjoyed it, and have a good relationship now. We've been together since 1984, and there were times when one or both of us had serious problems, and things totally SUCKED, for extended periods. We've seen the better and the worse, the richer and the poorer, and we are still together. Pretty sure we will be 'til Death do us part, and maybe longer.
indeed :)
Agree with your thinking completely.
