  • This makes me weep! I am still praying for her and her family. Thank you for linking the update, my friend.

  • *sigh*

Do Your will, my Christ . . .

  • This is not an end...I pray for her and her loved ones.

  • They will be in my thoughts...

nannys' condition continues to deteriorate. she continues to lose weight, and her blood work remains a mess. she has a problem holding onto potassium and iron. they have upped her to the highest dose possible. her white blood cell count remains low which means her immune system is nearly non existant. she sleeps most of the day and is hooked to pumps for hydration, vitamins, food etc for 18 hours a day. she has a major blood infection wich she has been battling for over 4 weeks now. 4 of the days were in the hospital. i am her main caregiver, and ***she is on full hospice. she is not expected to make it to next christmas.** she loses weight and hasnt held onto wieght even when her tpn calories, lipids and sugar has been increased. she recieves daily phone calls from friends, but remains very weak. thanks for checking in on nanny.

updated: if anyone ever doubted nannys' conditions we have it in writing now! i remember a few years back there was some doubt, but as i read the status nanny is and the conditions she has, i started crying. mike holly is our caseworker and the person nanny talks to regarding how i am taking care of her. her conditions listed were 2 pages long, confirmed by her doctors and when i read **"hospice" **that is when i lost it. i then thought of all the doctors that had to read these before they approved me to be nannys' caretaker. and when i read that nanny soon would need 24 hour care, i said I WILL TAKE CARE OF HER!! in black and white it said she may need a future hoome living care, and hell no, i am her mother and i will take caer of nanny when she needs that 24/7 care. for now i am just thankfull she is up and walking, laughing with her mommie and trying to enjoy life. it hurts, however, to read her diagnoses and realize that this is what she has. but i am relieved to know that if anyone had a doubt(some family) we now have it all in back and white. a thick pamphlet of nannys' diagnoses, prognosis(poor) and signed by her doctors and mike holly, our caseworker.

    **********

nanny is a client of home and community services of washington and **providence home and hospice. **i am now her caretaker and will begin getting paid november 1st. today is my first day as a paid employee! it is bittersweet at the same time because although i get to spend time with my daughter, its the fact that i *have* to spend time with her for this reason.

  • I know this is really late and it's likely I'm just talking to myself here, but you need to know that Nanny has been in hospice THREE times! Didn't you see any red flags? You only go to hospice when you are actually dying. Three trips and I would imagine the people working there, as well as the patients are pissed that this girl (note when Mama K made her entry about Nanny being close to the end, that was there years ago) gets to take up 3 beds at different points of her "imminent desmise".  Washington residents have to pay these huge taxes because of this Munchausen scam. A good friend of mine was in hospice with late-stage AIDS and he had to wait because there were so many dying patients, so you can see where I'm coming from. I could go on and on, but there's no point in doing that. You get the message.

  • @lonelyheroine - Thanks for reading, and the comment.  I Googled Nancybratt quite a while ago, and had the same doubts, as I laid out in

I Don't Judge, But Some Wonder About NancyBratt .

  • @lonelywanderer2 - You know, I hate being mean, but damn. I feel sorry for her---not because of her health problems, but because she has made "dying" her whole world. I decided I just can't go to that site again, because it's depressing as hell. All the whining and self-pity wallowing. I lost a beloved cat last July 31st and am still grieving. But going online and airing every bad thing and how she felt about that dog can't be good for her.

I guess I shouldn't continue reading the site if it upsets me so, but I have this innate morbid curiosity. I'm not proud of that, and perhaps I am over-reacting. Once Nanny and her mother decide to come clean, this site will finally hold some honesty. I don't think less of her because of the obvious Munchausen stuff. It's actually written up in the DSM-V4. Anyhow my email address is: freedomfightertjm@yahoo.ca

If you want to email me, feel free.

  • @lonelyheroine - I agree with you.  I rarely visit her site, but once in a while, I check out an update.  Her appearance has not changed at all in all the time she has been online, as far as I can see.  Remarkable if she is indeed dying of anorexia/bulimia.

  • That family must think we're all stupid. Did you see this entry by the notorious Mama K:

Check the date: Yes, it was three years
ago!  Why hasn't this woman died? I'm pretty sure that a lot of people who befriended "Nanny" have since come to the uncomfortable conclusion that all isn't what it seems. She doesn't get nearly as many hits and after 4 years and hardly anyone comments on her blog. She's gotten upset about "so-called friends" who "better stay off my site!"

    Temper temper

  • Oops! I think I posted Mama  K's note twice. Brain fart. ;)
