  • I think these bears are larger than the Tennessee variety.  I would imagine that Yellowstone might be closer to you than the Great Smokey Mountains, and I hope that there is not so much trash built around them as is at the base of the Tennessee Mountains.  I cannot imagine when it was all pristine and when not so many cars were allowed in.  It is so sad to think that the mountain air is sometimes more polluted than below.

    What a wonder our country is, and thank God for those like John Muir and Teddy Roosevelt who were already thinking of the generations to come and what would be left for us.  One is supposed to eat only one fish serving per week from the San Francisco Bay because of the  mercury content.  I have to really look where fish come from.  I do like lake trout as well as a White Fish which I have had from Michigan, but no where have I had Flounder more wonderful than around the Bay.  My Mercury is high, so I lay off, for we can never rid ourselves of these organic chemicals.  Blessings and Thanks, Barb
