Sterilization For Human Betterment
The video above is disturbing. The scariest part, to me, is there are even today people with advanced educations and holding positions which have great influence over American policy, who think this is a good idea!!!

The elitists at there very best...which is the worst for everyone else around them. What C.S. Lewis said is ever true and always sad:
"Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive."
I'm glad this is getting more attention. Forced sterilization stories make me sick to my stomach. To think this went on openly is scary. Treating human beings like animals! And the scariest part for some of those people was they didnt know or remember & then they tried to have families later & realized they couldnt. Most of them probably arent talking out of shame or they figure there's no point because they cant repair the damage. I hope all these people sue the government & take it for all it's worth. They deserve that little bit although will nothing will bring back what they lost.
We wont forget because we wont let their voices fade into forgotten history.

I believe in this and genocide, even though it takes me out. I'm a science person, not a moral person. I am NOT having children. I would not do this to anyone.
@Colorsofthenight - I respect your choice to not have children, but would not have that choice taken from you against your will.
@lonelywanderer2 - There have always been these people who think of themselves as the deserving while others are beneath them. In a culture like our, which is on the wane, they are like cockroaches, everywhere. There is no political solution for what troubles our culture. It used to be we talked about responsibility, but for the longest time we've talked about our rights. If our culture cannot be brought back to a recognition of personal responsibility the cockroaches will win.
I honestly believe the greatest solution can be found in Christianity, but I understand many will not like or agree with that assessment. I can, however speak from experience, that Christianity made all the difference in my life. Before Christ I was one of those who whined about my rights. I don't think that way anymore.
@Such_are_you - I am one who is not personally religious but I believe that religion, faithfully practiced, often holds important answers for people. I'm glad it has dine so for you.
@lonelywanderer2 - Yeah, I knew that about you, and I'm fine with that. I agree that religion faithfully practiced is generally beneficial. I don't have a problem with the irreligious, but I do have a great problem with professing Christians who do not hold to the teachings of Christ. I am never surprised by the irreligious, I blame us religious.
@Such_are_you - Update on my beliefs. I have come to realize that I am very spiritual, and becoming more so all the time. I introduce myself to you, as a spiritual agnostic. Blog post soon to come.
@lonelywanderer2 - You wouldn't be the first I've met. It is a small group but growing.
Seeing as how it would have been better for all of us to have never been born, I fail to see why this is a problem. Since the best thing that could happen to the human race is complete and total extinction, anything that moves us in this direction can't be seen as a bad thing.
it's sad. i know a few conservatives who love the idea of eugenics.
Hanna Arendt called it the banality of evil. Intelligent idealists are quite capable of serial murder. Consider the "doctor" in Philadelphia (Kermit Gosnell) who murdered babies after they had been born alive (or ordered his staff to murder them).
It's really a comment on people that the staff didn't question his orders immediately.
@flapper_femme_fatale - It's not a Conservative or Liberal issue. It's a matter of some people deciding they have the right to sterilize people they deem unfit to reproduce. @soccerdadforlife - I thought the same thing abou Gosnell's employees. Like some of the nazis, they make the excuse, "I was just following orders". That doesn't make things any better.
@lonelywanderer2 - *shrug* just making a comment about who i see this type of rhetoric from the most.
