One week before this happened, we were at the Brookfield Zoo. At the gorilla exhibit my daughter, the same age as the boy in this story, started climbing the rails and might easily have fallen into the pit. Luckily, I saw her and took her down.

What a terrible thing.  I am a self-professed news junkie, and I can’t watch the news, because it breaks my heart.

Just saw this with my wife.  A great movie about a baseball player who changed life as we know it.  One spoiler.  Best movie line ever, “Come on, Jackie.  Take a shower with me”.  I cracked up right there in the theater.
